Ru who? This is the EU! #Eurovisage

Eurovision is just around the corner! The lovingly camp event is in Vienna for its 60th year and looks bigger than ever now Australia is joining in on the fun.

With RuPaul’s Drag Race in full swing at the moment too, I felt like Eurovision was in danger of simply not being gay enough. That’s why I’ve created free download and print flags to add some extra extravaganza to Eurovision proceedings! Time to thrown some shade in antisapation of the rest of Europe sending a fat zero.

Click the image below to download the pdf and get start flying the flag, via drag.

Royal Baby Papercraft

Just as Kate Middleton begins to bow out from public appearances to prepare for her due date, I thought I would craft a paper souvenir in the style of my other Royal event memorabilia.

William Kate baby souvenir

Remembering that William & Kate’s new arrival will one day be King or Queen, I have made a simple paper rocking horse which celebrates our new royal! (royals and horses go hand in hand) The free pdf template is available to download, catering for both baby boy and baby girl scenarios. Just print out on A4 card or thicker paper (photopaper is fine) and have yourself a memento of a little bit of history.

Why not place your bets on these horses of when our new royal will be born by writing on your prediction? (My guess is  the 11th July). Both pdf downloads are linked at the bottom of the page. I hope you enjoy the download. I’d love to see how people get along with making it up and feel free to share this page. To see more of my Royal papercraft, click HERE

Christmas Cards 2012

I’ve been busy making Christmas cards with a unique little feel.

My Yeti Christmas cards use clean, minimal design to show off the furry coat he has on. Each one has to be cut out individually which means each looks unique and appears to have a different personality. These aren’t just Christmas cards, you’re adopting a new family member when you receive these!

A limited number are available to buy now on danmackey.bigcartel.com. See how they are made in the gallery below:

Simple typography poster with what was going through my head. I also printed it on 100% recycled paper.

Paper Jam

Paper jams are my least favourite type of jam. I’m sure I get them more than anyone else when printing…  My take on a paper jam transforms it into a craft piece that anyone can put together. Three different versions in magenta, cyan and black, these Paper Jams are not like the ones you are used to.

The templates for these are available to download, print and make up below:

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – Paper Craft Souvenir

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee has been in the news a lot and with the celebrations culminating in June we will keep hearing about it!

Just like the royal wedding there is a lot of Jubilee ‘tat’ out there. To try and save you from that here is my free piece of modern merchandise to download and make.

Also as an extra I have re-uploaded the Kate and Wills tea-pot that has been requested a few times.

Enjoy and let me know how you go with it!

Royal Wedding Papercraft Gift *Final Update*

There are loads of Royal Wedding inspired designs out there so I wanted a go too. This is my own take on the wedding china that has started filling up the shops with a touch of the age of the credit crunch.

My simple, contemporary papercraft tea set is a great way to celebrate William and Kates marriage (and of course the bank holiday-fest).  The cool Rob Ryan style typeface is ‘Blackout’ and definitely on my list of favourites at the moment.

Here is a PDF link for anyone to give making the tea-cup a go (don’t try and put tea in it or you will get burnt to pieces)

Download your own tea-cup: Wedding_tea_cup

And now download in Blue: Blue_wedding_cup
