Royal Wedding Papercraft Gift *Final Update*

There are loads of Royal Wedding inspired designs out there so I wanted a go too. This is my own take on the wedding china that has started filling up the shops with a touch of the age of the credit crunch.

My simple, contemporary papercraft tea set is a great way to celebrate William and Kates marriage (and of course the bank holiday-fest).  The cool Rob Ryan style typeface is ‘Blackout’ and definitely on my list of favourites at the moment.

  29. Polly says:

Hi Dan, really love your fab cups and teapot…but I’m having a little difficulty with building the teapot! Well, not all of it, it’s just figuring out how the lid, rim and top piece fit together! Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

    • danmackey says:

Hey Polly, well when the top piece is all cut out I would fold the tabs on the inside all up. Then fold after you have folded all the dashed lines on the top rim then sandwich the tabs that are pointing up from the Top part with the rim (in the photo on here it doesnt show that as was an early model) This bit can now simply be glued onto the main body section you already have glued together by just having those tabs all folded pointing inwards.

The lid seems a bit complicated but isn’t too bad. The tab nearest the center gets folded and glued to the underside. After that the 2 other tabs fold against each other and takes shape then.

Hope that helps, I should have probably taken photo’s of each step! Enjoy your Tea set and the wedding tommorow!

  30. Polly says:

No worries 😀 I’ve figured it out!

  31. Polly says:

Thank you anyway! Have checked out some of your other graphics too, and I do love the robot one! Enjoy the wedding too 🙂
